Benvalor advised lab-meat startup Meatable in raising a € 3 million investment round

October 1, 2018

Meatable, a new lab-grown meat startup, has come up with a way to make truly slaughter-free meat by using pluripotent stem cells, which possess the unique ability to turn into any type of cell – from muscle to fat.

Meatable has raised € 3 million from three venture capital firms – BlueYard Capital, Atlantic Food Labs, and Backed VC – and several angel investors, including former Microsoft strategist Charlie Songhurst and early stage investor Jörg Mohaupt.

Benvalor assisted Meatable with the investment round and looks forward to tasting Meatable’s first products.
